A Love Letter to Persephone

Persephone,
Wife, mine,
Sweetling,
Meadow.
Meet me
in a
night-clipsed
Shadow
Gods–none
Leaves–dead
rustle,
rustle,
None can
see what
you and
me are
making
in the
leaves this
night. This
Night. This
night we
find one
‘nother
‘neath the
naked
night
‘neath the
naked
Sky and
‘neath the
sacred
crown of
Stars and
sights to
see our
bodies
break on
waves of
amber
skin to
find the
treasures —
Coral,
Seaweed,
floating,
briny,
deep.
